Lake in Mount Kelimutu Three Color




Flores Island in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) has some interesting sights visited by the tourists. Lots of stunning natural beauty of the island. One of them was at the peak of Mount Kelimutu, namely Lake Flores. Kelimutu is often also referred to as the Lake Three Colors, because this lake has three different colors. Uniquely the lake water color change over time.

The uniqueness of colors that makes the tourists visiting these attractions. Flores itself is a combination of the word "keli" meaning mountain, and "quality" which means to boil. The lake is located in the village Pemo, District Flores, Ende, NTT. To reach this lake, tourists have to travel about 45 miles from Ende or 13 miles from the village of Moni.

To enjoy the beauty of the lake, tourists only pay a fee of Rp 2,000. The entrance to the lake shore in the form of stairs and cobblestone streets within walking distance. The best time to visit the Lake Three Colors are mornings.



Besides the natural beauty that makes the admiration of anyone who sees it, the Three Colors also is still attached to the legend that is trusted by the local community. According to local belief, colorful lakes have the meanings respectively and has a very powerful natural forces.
