Aceh Tsunami Museum: Inscriptions Speaking of What We Call 'Love' on the Waves Together they rolled.
Design and construction of the Museum of Aceh with the concept of 'Rumoh Aceh Escape Building as' having diverse philosophies. 1. Space of Fear (Lorong Tsunami)
Tsunami early access aisle is a visitor to enter the Tsunami Museum. It has a length of 30 m and a height of 19-23 m high tsunami waves symbolizing that occurred in the year 2004. 2. Space of Memory (Memory Space)
After a walk through the hallways Tsunami, visitors will enter the room Memories (Memorial Hall). This room has 26 monitors as a symbol of the tsunami that hit Aceh there December 26, 2004. Each monitor displays an image and a photo of the person and the location of the disaster that hit Aceh after the tsunami of 40 images that are displayed in the form of a slide. Images and photos seemed to recall the memories of the tsunami that hit Aceh or the so-called space of memory that is not easy to be forgotten and the lessons learned from the incident.
A room with a glass wall has a philosophy of existence in the sea (tsunami). Upon entering this room, as if the visitors were in the middle of the sea, symbolized by glass walls that illustrate the breadth of the ocean floor, the monitors in the room which is denoted as the rocks in the water, and the lights are dim exist in roof space is represented as a light from above the water surface into the seabed.3. Space of Sorrow (the Well Prayer Room)
Through Space Memories (Memorial Hall), visitors will enter the Well Prayer Room (Chamber of Blessing). A cylindrical drum with a dim light and a height of 30 meters has approximately 2,000 names listed each victim tsunami walls. 4. Space of Confuse (Lorong Chimney)
After the wells Prayer, visitors will pass through the hallway Stack (Chimney Romp) towards the Bridge of Hope. The hallway is intentionally designed with floor and uneven bekelok philosophy as a form of confusion and despair when the people of Aceh suffered the tsunami in 2004, the confusion will be the direction of the goal, frantically looking for missing relatives, and confusion due to loss of property and objects, the philosophy this hall is called Space of Confuse. Dark alley that takes visitors to the natural light symbolizes a hope that the people of Aceh at the time was still thinking about the expectations of the world aid for Aceh to help restore physical and psychological condition of the people of Aceh who at the time of trauma and disaster after a big loss.
5. Space of Hope (Bridge of Hope)
Hallways chimney takes visitors toward the Bridge of Hope (space of hope). Called a bridge of hope because through this bridge visitors can see the 54 flags of the 54 nations who helped Aceh after the tsunami, the same number of flags premises number of stones arranged in the edge of the pond. On each stone bearing the flag and the word 'Peace' in the language of each country as a reflection of war and peace in Aceh before the tsunami conflict. With the earthquake and tsunami, the world saw firsthand the conditions in the province, support and assist the peace in Aceh, as well as contributing to the building (reconstructed) of Aceh after the disaster.
